Agilent 6530 Accurate Mass QTOF LC-MS

Untargeted profiling, identifying, characterizing, and quantifying low molecular-weight compounds and biomolecules

Recent projects used this instrument for

    • profiling of non-volatiles in whiskeys, wines and oak extracts
    • profiling of grape monoterpene glycosides during maturation
    • monitoring quercetin metabolites in human plasma post consumption
    • correlation of secondary metabolites to gene expression due to fungal infection

    Agilent 6460 Triple-Quadrupole LC-MS/MS

Targeted analysis of non-volatile compounds in complex matrices

Recent projects used this instrument for

    • quantitation of amygdalin in non-bitter, semi-bitter and bitter almonds, down to low ug/kg levels (low ppb).
    • monitoring acrylamide formation during table olive processing
    • quantitation of 12 major phenolic and secoiridoid compounds in table olives

The system includes an Agilent 1290 UHPLC.

      Agilent 8800 Triple-Quadrupole ICP-MS/MS

Trace elemental analysis in food and beverage samples

Recent projects used this instrument for

      • world's first hyphenated GC-ICP-MS/MS for the trace detection of phosphorus, sulfur and chlorine-containing pesticide residues in foods
      • analysis of Arsenic species in wines

The instrument can be set up with both an HPLC or a GC for speciation analysis.
